Mana Tempest interaction with Pyromantic Pact (Infernalist)

I'm trying to figure out if the interaction with casting Mana Tempest while having Pyromantic Pact (as in, it does nothing) is an intended interaction as the Pact replaces mana with Infernal Flame, or if its bugged and is supposed to build Infernal Flame while standing in the Tempest as i had assumed it would have worked pre-early access launch.

The tooltip at the bottom for the spell shows that it uses Infernal Flame every second but it does nothing when cast.

If its intended, great. It makes sense, as we no longer have mana for it to use, but it still seems to me like it "should" just build infernal flame every second instead.

Bump, had the same thought, and was sad that it was simply deactivated.

Added points: Mind over matter is also deactivated (as you do not have mana anymore), but Eldritch Battery works as intended (I think because the conversion from ES to mana happens before the one for mana to infernal flame)

and I'm guessing on the wording that mana flare and archmage are non-functional as well?

Same here, was hoping for a bunch of free damage to boost ignites. I expected archmage to not work, but I didn't expect this to just not work. I hope we get some clarity after the holidays.

You have no mana. Same interaction as Blood Magic. Its not a bug.

These should absolutely interact. It's incredibly disappointing that they don't. Like the entire strength of Internal flame is it solves mana. If you have mana solved, mana tempest is exactly what you would use.
