PoE 2 has lost over 80% of its players in 3 months.

As of today, POE 1 currently has about 14% of their peak players still playing on steam.(32,720 out of 228,398).

POE 2 has only 8% of their peak steam players remaining (47,413 out of 578,562).

I fear that their egos clinging to their friction-heavy endgame philosophy (& the sycophants who condescend to the wider player base to defend it) are going to squander a great opportunity. We'll see what the next season looks like with returning players and the following dropoff rate.

Many players had high hopes for Path of Exile 2, but for many, those hopes have been shattered.

I want PoE2 to succeed, and I had hoped that GGG had learned from past mistakes. But they remain the same company, clinging to the same rigid "vision." Unfortunately, this unwillingness to adapt may ultimately be their downfall.

Rather than engaging with the community and addressing feedback, they remain silent. This lack of communication leaves players feeling ignored, frustrated and undervalued.

There will likely be temporary player surges when major patches drop, and a wave of non-paying players when the full release arrives. But at this rate, PoE2 risks becoming just another forgettable ARPG in an already crowded genre.

Best time were 2-3 weeks after release then it got worse and worse.

It was as low as 26k players this morning. Almost 10k less than last week. The biggest problem is that they don't seem to read this forum, because poeple does not care about the next patch. If the core of some mechanics does not change, players won't come back or they play 1 week and leave again.

They act like a company being bankrupt that don't know why no one does business with them while they have 1 star reviews because they botch everything. Yes, the reviews are mostly positive on steam, but keep in mind that most of these reviews have less than 10 hours of play time.
