The Coming Calamity chest got deleted by bug

I spent 6 divines buying a corrupted coming calamity with the implicit I wanted. Added support gems into the 3 heralds it gives (ash, ice, thunder). Entered a map for the first time to try it out and it is gone. I am standing at the start of the map with no chest, no support gems. The body armor I just bought disappeared along with everything that was socketed into it.

That's super weird. Never seen that happen in poe 1 or 2.

What was the implicit by curiosity ?

I exited to character selection and logged back in. Now my body armor reappeared on my character, but all the gems that were socketed into the heralds are gone. The implicit is "16% of damage taken recouped as life". It would be nice to know what is causing this bug. Is it an attribute requirement issue for the heralds? Is it an added spirit cost issue with the socketed support gems? Is there a limit on how many gems you can socket before it breaks? Is it that one of the heralds cannot have any socketed gems, or is it that you cannot socket anything into any of the heralds? I am hesitant to try socketing anything into the heralds for now as I do not want to risk losing the body armor permanently. I have since ran a few maps with nothing socketed into the heralds and have had no issues.
