I remember something about 06.2025 being the date it goes f2p.
So far it goes more into non playable instead of f2p. It has been month or more since any update changing anything, we got zero info from GGG about what is coming next, servers are horrible, leagues are economically broken, no builds worth playing. What is going on? WE PAID FOR THIS GAME... And as I paid, I have the right to demand, and I demand some news. Initially stated it would leave EA in 6-12 months. They've changed that somewhat now to "when it's ready". My guess would be somewhere in the first half of 2026 simply because there is still a lot that needs to be added to the game.
They've already mentioned the new 0.3 league will be end of August, and then leagues on a 4-month cycle going forward in order to alternate with PoE1 leagues and be able to allocate support as necessary. |

They actually do a lot of good dev interviews online, communicating exactly what is going on and where things are going. I can't for the life of me, however, understand why those things aren't better communicated through these official channels ahead of time or have an official breakdown list after.
Also, you didn't really pay for a game, so much as the opportunity to support the development of the game as well as to TEST the game as it's developed. The game is F2P, last I checked. (Even if the terms of that agreement are a bit grey since shortly after EA launch GGG announced they were treating it like a released game due to the pop size.) |

Look at POE1, it's FTP and GGG can barely maintain the servers. Up to now.
Do you want POE2 to end up like that as well right now when the game isn't even half complete yet? |
