Minions cannot gain skills from equipment.
That’s so stupid so everything actually is pigeon holed into the same builds despite the massive tree .

So there’s only 1-2 viable amulets for the necromantic talisman. Sick game boys.

From your explanation my only hope is them adding a minion that already has lightning bolt as a skill lmfao.

Then it’ll be super niche because you’ll be pigeon holed into a specific minion too. Sick.

I’m having realizations about poe2 in that the diverse skill tree isn’t quite as diverse at all.

It’s the same thing as other current AARPG’s a small handful of builds that overperform and everything else is a dud because it was designed that way.

Choir of the storm Jade literally implies it was meant to be used with minions. This stuff is ironically sad.

This is quite disappointing.

Just so you all know it’s not because minions can’t get skills. That’s not the real reason.

The real reason is because if minions inherit the lightning bolt skill people will actually have fun.

Just kidding, besides having fun it’s because you’d be capable of registering way more than the capped number of attacks per second the developers find acceptable.

Because it’s totally fun to either smash everything in one shot or die. It’s not like diverse build potential in PvE and an established PvP meta is what defines AARPG’s

Poe doesn’t have a good history of implementing PvP.

Lesson #1 don’t worry about balancing PvP.

Let PvP balance itself. 1-3 builds is gonna dominate. So what. PvP wasn’t meant to be something every player should have a say in. Most the casuals are why PvP has been ruined in AARPG’s. Which is crazy because a PvP player will log Thousands of hours over years and that casual player logs a few hours a month. But as a developer the casuals have bigger numbers so you must do what they say in a form of play that was never meant for them.

If by live launch of f2p this game isn’t in a real working state I’m just going to give up any hope any games developer will ever be anything more than 3 raccoons dressed in a trench coat.

Because it’s okay to have people 1 shotting t4 pinnacle bosses but god forbid we let the minion build do like 60 attacks a second. Every other player will complain about being capped at 32. The tears of every non minion player would be too strongk for developers to handle. I understand.

Yeah imagine a game not turning out to be another helpless cash grab and actually being a finished product that isn’t just play these 5 builds or you suck.

At this point I wouldn’t be surprised to find out blizzard and GGG are just backdoor buddies that develop the same cycle and create drama to profit at the cost of actual game design.

The average player these days is so low IQ they don’t understand why drama bad when profit good, because they don’t understand how to design a game that isn’t garbage they can’t conceive of anything but garbage.

These are simple proven facts.

It’s a sad day when Diablo 2 is still better designed than every game that has released since in its genre.

The gaming industry is pathetic from top to bottom. RuneScape has even become a literal money grab on every iteration.

Innovation is suppose to be happening. Decades later and Diablo 2 feels like a better game with 90% less content? How’s that work? Oh it has PvP.

Cornerstone of AARPG genre is PvP.

But this simp everyone gets a trophy mentality ruined PvP in gaming.

If Poe2 had real PvP it would also have 20% more EA sales and a much larger active player base

If poe2 had actual dynamic build paths it would have a much larger active player base.

The truth is these game designers these days don’t care about player base numbers. They care about getting the sale.

It’s like a con man with ball under a cup. But instead of the ball ever existing it was an imaginary ball the con man could turn off and on with a projector. This problem isn’t exclusive to GGG. It’s become the entire industry.

Wallet farming is not a noble profession. If you guys worry less about how to get people to spend
Money and worry more about making a quality game that retains diverse types of players money becomes a biproduct.

But what do I know. It’s not like you can literally look at history and see the most successful anything in the world concerns itself with quality and performance and thinks of the profit only as a biproduct of that quality and performance.

I understand that corporate world demands profits, if only those corporations could fathom the profit they could make by not focusing on profit. Too bad most of them are 80 iq individuals who can’t think beyond the first order but somehow are in one of the most powerful job rolls that exist.
