Feedback – Scroll of Hunting / Pilfering Ring / Display Case: Disappointing and Misleading Use?

To begin with, I know I’m on the PoE1 forum and all of this happened on PoE2, but as far as I know, some of these items are also available in PoE1 — and the same issue seems to exist there too.

So :
I recently bought a weapon and visited someone’s hideout for the trade. While I was there, I noticed what looked like some kind of personal stats being displayed — like a counter of certain achievements or actions. Unfortunately, I left too quickly to really understand what it was.

Curious, I wanted to display my own stats in my hideout as well. So I went to the shop and saw the Scroll of Hunting and the Pilfering Ring. I bought the scroll first, expecting it to let me display my stats somewhere.

But to my surprise (and disappointment), the only way to view its stats is by going into: K → Extra → Extra Effect → Hover over the item.

That’s it? For 120 points? I was really underwhelmed.

Thinking maybe the ring worked differently, I bought it too — another 120 points — but it turns out it functions exactly the same way. Still no option to actually display anything visually in the hideout.

I searched for solutions online and found nothing. Then I came across the Display Case for Hideout item in the shop and thought “Okay, this must be the missing piece!” I assumed you could place the scroll or ring inside the case to show off the stats.

So I bought it. But — of course — you can’t put either of them in the case.

In total, I spent 320 points (~$32) on items that ended up feeling pointless. Realistically, I’m never going to check my stats through that hidden menu path, and I doubt other players do either.

Best case: someone from the dev team or community knows of a feature or interaction I missed and can help clarify how these items are meant to work. But honestly, it seems like they’re just… unfinished?

I really hope this post brings attention to the issue, and maybe the devs will consider improving the feature. Being able to display our hunting progress in the hideout would be such a cool and motivating feature — but right now, it just doesn’t feel worth it.
