can any one explain why i do more damage without my ring?

can any one explain why my damage goes up when i take out the ring?
i even scale dmg with int and lightning, and when i take the ring out my damage goes up like 250 why and how?!?!

any ideas?

Are you using the passive Killer Instinct? It gives you 30% increased Attack Damage when on Full Life.

When you unequip and reequip this ring, the +Strength modifier increases your maximum life--but your current life does not increase in relation to your new maximum. So, you're no longer on full life until your life refills to the new maximum.

I would just suggest using a flask or well.

The well's appearance changes when you're not a full life iirc, so it should be easy to tell when you aren't at full life when changing equipment.
