Last rare monster/boss, no map drop.

Hi, I'm not sure but shouldn't the last rare monster on the map be guaranteed to drop a map of the same tier as the map?
Wasn't this in a recent patch? (I don't read every patch notes etc. but I think I saw something like this)

The thing is that I kill the last rare enemy in the map, I get "map complete" but no waystone drop...

And the same thing happens with bosses, I kill a boss and there is no waystone drop. (shouldn't a boss always drop a +1 tier map?)

Is this a bug or did something change? Or am I mistaken and it doesn't work like that?

It's pretty common to get a way stone at the end, however the waystone % really helps to guarantee it every time. You either aren't juicing hard enough, or ur just unlucky. I'm guessing ur running blue maps.

Personally it's rather rare to NOT see a waystone drop, but I'm not gonna say it's impossible, unless you are trying to say it's happening every single time. Then I'll call you out cuz that's not possible

Yea, I'm running blue maps, so...

Ah, so I guess I'll start using regal on them. So the drop from the last rare enemy/boss isn't guaranteed, ok ok.

Couple of interesting things from the patch notes:

"
Final Map Bosses and the final naturally-occurring Rare Monsters in Tier 1 maps have a 100% chance to drop a waystone. This chance scales down as you get into higher Map Tiers, but will still be guaranteed with appropriate investment into Waystone Suffix Modifiers and through the Atlas Passive Tree. Natual waystone drops have been reduced to compensate.

and

Unidentified Waystones now provide 30% increased Waystone drop chance, instead of 30% increased Quantity

So by not identifying your waystones you get a huge buff to getting more to drop. I don't think a lot of people noticed that change.
