What's the deal with the rabbit wisp?

I thought I undestood its mechanics, but at least for me, it doesn't work as expected.

Shouldn't the rabbit ressurrect the monster (or have a chance to ressurrect)?

For me it has other effects.
Most of the times I see it, it is doing the owl effect with those little blue tornadoes.
And I never got the rabbit reward.
I even got the fox sometimes and everything seems fine with her, but with the rabbit, it has this odd effect.

Did It changed and I wasn't aware?
Is this intended?
