Armour break gem

Hi. I have a question. I have been trying to understand the support gem Armour break and whether passive skills affect it. To answer my question I have used two different skills, one is sunder (with the mentioned support gem) and the other one is armour breaker (without the gem).

When I open the tooltip of armour breaker skill I can clearly see a modifier named "Main hand armour break on hit".

On sunder though, there is no such modifier. Can any1 give me a clear answer if my passives affect the armor that sunder is breaking?

Also is there any way to figure it out in-game? Can I actually check how much armor do I break when I remove a passive from the tree?
