Do pets and cosmetics in stuff like this eventually go on the store normally so i can just buy it outright? I don't have any interest in the other cosmetics in the box so i don't really want to throw money away on it.

Everything that comes from a mystery box will eventually come to the shop to be directly purchasable, yes. A while after the next mystery box is released.
