Soul Tether Unique not functioning

I have a blood mage and trying to use vitality siphon with ES. It has two levels of issues:
1. The leech does not apply to the ES no matter what the scenario
2. When I put the belt on with full ES all my ES disappears instantly.

Please fix. :) This would be a major crux of my build if it worked as the item states and I assume is intended.

I also tried using the belt, for me the same issue with 1. happens. I never get any ES while having 8% life leech and gain as physical on my Quarterstaff. Issue with 2. does also happen but not anymore as I removed the negative from the belt with the Vaal corrupt

As PinDa mentioned, u have to remove that mod from the belt. If u're just using a regular Soul Tether then that's the intended mechanic.

Leech gets removed when your life is full. Without something to prevent that, the belt mod does nothing. You need to use either Lofe Leech III support, or anoint the expensive mod at the bottom of the tree that does that.

There is no “excess life leech” until you get an effect that says “life leech effects are not removed when at full life.”

There is a notable called Fast Metabolism that unlocks this that you can instil, or you can socket Life Leech 3 to make the belt work.
