Lineage support gems don't work with weapon sets?

Not sure if this is intended or not?

I try to use lots of spells so I run spark for mapping and then ember fus for bosses. Currently I move my lineage support gem (atalui) between the 2 manually depending on the encounter. It's silly I know but I couldn't afford better. Now I can and bought a second only to find out about the restriction of lineage support gems. I get that people would socket this in things like CoC comet as well and break the game but....we have the same issue as 0.2 Only allowing 1 copy of the strong support gem means 1 spell builds again. I can't swap to a different spell because it will always be weaker.

I get the balance idea but you can maintain the balance AND let the support gems be 1 per weapon set rather than 1 overall.
