For me, one of the underrated good things about POE and POE2 IS
|
Not showing 'damage floaters' or 'combat text', or any damage numbers pop-up when we hit mobs.
I think some players might disagree (I'm curious what others think), but for me, I think gameplay is just one part of the experience, graphics another - and not seeing these goofy numbers pop-up made the atmosphere more cinematic. Maybe we are or I am used to it, but I can feel the feedback of my damage just enough without the numbers popping up on in front of the mobs. Specially through campaign where for the first time, we get to experience the raw environment, world building and presentation. I'd like to know whether there's other people here also who plays through the whole campaign zoomed in. I'm wondering if it's inspired from D2, or someone from GGG made this call, and if they did - I want their autograph. ขุดครั้งสุดท้าย เมื่อ 21 ต.ค. 2025 05:41:09

I very much enjoyed the campaign its immersive but I can't forgive a poor vision for End Game content still.
If you want great drops you delirium and it forces that stupid fog and music (which is still heavily bugged on fortress map). You talk about damage numbers but I think they would be epic on a game with meaningful combat. There's far too much bogus'ly amped AoE and insignificant add killing in this game and someone could talk about good immersion all they like but when you're playing many loops of deleting 1000's of mobs on even T15+ maps that is the exact opposite of engaging combat and gameplay in general. |

I agree, i also like the fact they picked proper gold values. Some games start dropping 2000 gold at lvl2 and end up with ridiculous numbers by endgame, billions and billions. <insert trump billions meme>
