PoE 1

Has anyone actually enjoyed PoE1 after playing PoE2?
I logged in yesterday, and wow, the game feels like an old machine. The animations, interactions, gameplay, and everything else are so mechanical. I couldn't level up my character to even 21 because I hated everything. Neden yaşıyorsun? แก้ไขล่าสุดโดย Jideament#2792 เมื่อ 1 พ.ย. 2025 16:28:03 ขุดครั้งสุดท้าย เมื่อ 4 พ.ย. 2025 06:19:08

I will not play it unless it has WASD.
I don't even remember what POE 1 looks like, I haven't played it for over 6 years. Unless they implement WASD, I will never bother even looking at it. POE 2 is the future and POE 1 is a dead game to me. |

I'm still enjoying PoE1. I have nearly 1k hours in it over the past like 10(ish) years. Rookie numbers to some. But, for an average person that wasn't even really a huge ARPG fan until PoE, that's just a crazy amount of time in one game. This is my first time playing PoE1 since PoE2 came out.
It's made me enjoy PoE2 even more and strangely made PoE1 feel "classic" to me. I don't mean these as slights against PoE1. But, moreso as an affirmation that I'm enjoying things that PoE2 is doing. - I really missed active block/parry. - There is a huge difference between weapons in PoE2 and I miss that. Obviously in PoE1 there is still important differences. But, they all feel roughly the same. - Especially with the new league mechanic, you're just so strong. I don't really enjoy facetanking mobs while chugging healing potions. I miss dodging. The hands are so strong that they alone can wipe out anything. I'm only at the end of Act 2 and already feeling the rippy gameplay. - Dealing with sockets again isn't great. They're not bad, just got used to be able to change gear when I wanted. - My skills don't work together at all. I like PoE2's combos and synergies. This is also a product of being early in the PoE1 league, though. I really miss Scion and hope she makes it into PoE2 as like a generic character that can pick any class to start or something after they've made all of them. I know they said they didn't want the Scion class itself to return. Still enjoying PoE1 and planning to get more achievements for the MTX. But, definitely been an "oh yeah" kind of moment while playing it. I think the only thing PoE1 really does better is just be older, meaning it has more skills and stuff. I'm really looking forward to the time when it's no longer about adding new weapons to PoE2 because it will eventually have them all. But is instead about adding new skills to existing weapons. I want new spear skills so badly. Both are great games! Edit: Oh, and PoE1 has a more "brave" art direction that I appreciate. แก้ไขล่าสุดโดย SkyCakeLight#7781 เมื่อ 1 พ.ย. 2025 13:11:56

" True. Totally the same feeling after playing poe2. I just don't understand how I've been playing poe1 before and couldn't see how terrible it actually is. :D |

" About 10 years ago, a friend of mine was sitting next to me and saw my Steam account and selected PoE 1. It was at something like 5,000 hours, and my friend lost his cool. He tried to make a joke, but he couldn't pull it off because he knew I was neither a nerd nor an introvert. So, yeah, these are rookie numbers, but you know what? Maybe your 1,000 hours are a lot rarer than my 100,000 quantity. Who knows? Thanks for all the answers. Neden yaşıyorsun? แก้ไขล่าสุดโดย Jideament#2792 เมื่อ 1 พ.ย. 2025 15:52:40

Nope, I tried yesterday a little bit but hell no. I'm glad PoE 2 is a thing, PoE 1 for new players mostly is never going to be appealing. It's a mess, huge mess and you need to study it to understand for months.
Is it even worth it? No, they have a sequel now a better game. PoE 2 will be the main focus for a long time, so I will just stick with PoE2 tbh. Not even 2 hours in, people were already in act 10 or something. Some were mapping already etc, I'm glad PoE 2 campaign is better and trying to be more meaningful than just a pure skip. | |

Nah, can't get into it at all. All the QoL missing etc, the difference is gigantic

Almost everyone. GGG realized somewhere around Ziz's Gauntlet that they had to keep working on both games equally in order to keep the money coming in while they try to figure out how to fix PoE 2. If they can keep the PoE 1 players interested they might eventually get them to try PoE 2 again.

" Personally, I don't want PoE2 to be affected by that [Removed by Support] community. They're relentless. They'll force GGG to make PoE2 just like PoE1 and I'll be left with another anime-rpg. Neden yaşıyorsun?
