[Poe2] Unable to Form a Party Between Two PS5 Consoles in Local Co-op (Couch Co-op) Mode
|
Hello Grinding Gear Games Team,
I would like to report a consistent issue occurring on the PlayStation 5 version of Path of Exile 2, related to local co-op (couch co-op) mode and online party functionality. ⸻ Issue Description When both consoles are running in local co-op mode (two players on one PS5), it becomes impossible for one console to form or join a party with another PS5 that is also using local co-op. Even when each PS5 logs in only one player (no local co-op), normal party invitations still do not work — invites can be sent, but there is no notification or response. The only current workaround is for one player to create a public party, and for the other player to manually search the party name and join it. However, this method is inconsistent — sometimes the public-party list does not refresh or fails to appear for the other console. ⸻ Steps to Reproduce 1. Console A logs into two PSN accounts (Player 1 + Player 2) → starts local co-op mode. 2. Console B logs into two PSN accounts (Player 3 + Player 4) → starts local co-op mode. 3. Attempt to send or receive party invitations between Console A and Console B. 4. Invitations do not appear on either side; both systems behave as if offline or unavailable. 5. When switching to a single-player session, invitations can be sent but still fail silently unless using the public-party workaround described above. ⸻ Expected Behavior Both PS5 consoles, whether in single-player or local co-op mode, should be able to invite, join, and form parties with each other normally. ⸻ Actual Behavior Party invites fail without any error message. No notification appears, and the social menu shows the other players as unavailable. Only the public-party search method works intermittently, and sometimes even that fails. ⸻ Environment Details • Platform: PlayStation 5 • Region: International Server • Network: Wired connection (stable) • Cross-play setting: Both ON and OFF tested — issue persists in both cases • Game version: Latest • Reproducibility: 100% ⸻ This appears to be a PS5-specific issue where the local co-op system interferes with online party functionality. It would be greatly appreciated if the development team could investigate this, since combining couch co-op with online multiplayer is one of the most anticipated features for console players. Thank you for your time and support. Please let me know if you need additional logs, screenshots, or network details. Kind regards, A concerned PS5 player ขุดครั้งสุดท้าย เมื่อ 4 พ.ย. 2025 06:33:26
