Big feedback about companions
|
So, I decided to try a new game mechanic – companions.
I've always liked summoners in games, except for this one, because I don't like the amount of trash on the screen. So I immediately fell in love with the idea of having few, but powerful summons. But I ran into a lot of problems. 1. It's simply impossible to get the companion you want. Or you have to navigate the map very carefully, keeping an eye on every rare mob, and go through maps 20 times slower than possible, and still not capture what you want. Even with the three mods I wanted to get, I couldn't, and believe me, I tried. So, the chance is probably like getting a mirror (I haven't gotten one in 5+ years). Or run through the maps at normal speed, but then rare mobs will fall before you can even aim at them. Another option is to go to The Khari Crossing and try your luck with flies. But firstly, there are only flies, and secondly, it's not a game mechanic to constantly refresh the location. I'm writing this feedback after spending four hours trying to get at least one fly (which I don't like) with at least three interesting mods. I'm fed up. I see the following solutions: - An NPC where you can drop and apply mods for a fee. - Trade - More crafting Considering my struggles with this, I'd really like the first option. Especially since there's already plenty to craft and buy in trade. 2. Non-functional or pointless mods. - The most important mod for companions, unless you're using them purely for support, is enrage. I conducted an experiment and captured two flies in The Khari Crossing. One with enrage, the other without attack speed or damage mods. So, an enraged fly isn't faster or more powerful in attack, and it doesn't take less damage (In the characteristics window); the only difference is that it's red. - Why would a companion need enhanced minions if they don't have any? Or extra projectiles if they don't fire them? 3. I've encountered situations more than once where I try to capture a companion, but the skill doesn't work on them. This definitely happened with the Fly Queen (I forgot what it's called, since I never captured it) and with the Drudge Osseodon that carries mobs on its back. I definitely had some other thoughts on this, I'll write about it later. ขุดครั้งสุดท้าย เมื่อ 4 พ.ย. 2025 11:47:56

Of course, another important point is the unbalanced mobs. There's one overpowered mob in the game — Frozen Mandibles (which I absolutely dislike visually). Its stats are dramatically different from the others. Am I forced to go with it? I definitely don't want that.
