No MF = no Currency

GGG Please remove this stat from gear

I even wrote something similar back in 0.1.0. Can you play without IIR? Sure, but you'll have to be content with the fact you'll be far behind the currency curve than everyone else stacking it. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

if MF was removed then solo players would have no chance against group play. have you seen what 6 man groups get from maps? having MF on our gear is the only way solo players can come a tiny bit close to what groups get

I have always loved that this was always justified as being "well, it was in D2 via Item Find"... but they fail to realize even the D2 creators said they regretted adding it, because there was no reason to run around on a main character without item find, and instead make an item find character to do your farming on.
GGG has had a massive problem with their scaling curve for a while now, between MF in various forms, group bonuses, and map scalers with juice. Basically, the curve has moved further and further away from the start, but once you are on it, it explodes quickly. They really need to bite the bullet, remove all scalers for a bit, and tune the game to be a good starting point. I honestly thought they would do that for PoE2, knowing the problems with PoE1 and how they nerfed the base rate three times because they didn't have time to do a deep dive on all the scalers. This has left the game feeling horrible without a league mechanic to plaster over it. |

You WILL be the bottom pegs of a silly economy unless you either a) abuse the system in every way possible or b) be an online personality who has people funnel supplies to them.
The fact that SSF is not balanced as an alternative to having to compete with either of those very unfun and unchill ways to engage with a game, just plain sucks. You just won't get item drops in a game about farming item drops... |

" Not really; it would make it much easier to control how strong they are by simply adjusting the group bonus, without having to worry about yet another scaler. It would definitely nerf them, as the damage person would not have MF in exchange for the defenses provided by the aurabot. Or they would lose an MF culler, which serves the same role. |

" item find is supposed to reduce the effectiveness of your character. D3 just took it to the next step and increased monster power - which is the same thing. Except when you get to the point where you are just deleting screens of enemies in 1 second. What they should do is make Item Find take up 2 slots on any rare item. And then make better uniques that have item find on them that are somewhat powerful. but i honestly don't expect anyone still on this forum to understand why certain features exist, and certainly not how to improve them. |

It has no impact already. Loot drops from map juicing, not from Rarity on gear.
