About Vile Knight

I was taking a look at some builds to see what people use and I was surprised to see nobody uses this helmet (at least for druid-wolf) but rather rare helmets instead and I was wondering why.

Anybody who's done the math could explain me why? I thought that, together with Attrition, it'd be a decent boss killer.
