Everyone need to figure out what kind of player you are. Think it through before continuing
|
For anyone who wants to continue playing POE2, you need to always remember that the time you spend in the game is always about 30 times that of many others.
You might need 10 hours to produce 50 Div, while those people only need at most 30 minutes, because you didn't use BUGs, and you are not exploiters. And GGG has set rules to ensure that you have no chance to use BUGs,they make sure you have no chance to use game exploits, while at the same time GGG ensures that those who used BUGs can continue to use them indefinitely. If you are such a person who enjoys spending 30 hours to improve your character, and also enjoys seeing others achieve the same effect in just 30 minutes, then you are very suitable to continue playing. Otherwise, you should stop playing. It simply depends on what kind of player you want to be. With GGG's current approach, every critical exploit that has occurred since version 0.1,up to the current0.4,and even in future like 0.5,0.6,and 0.7,will inevitably repeat. Through their actions,GGG has made it explicitly clear that,no matter what, they will always go to great lengths to protect the interests of players who exploit these bugs early on.They shut down the exploit once it becomes widely known, yet, through a series of ingenious ideas allow those early exploiters to continue benefiting from it. Meanwhile, the rest of the player base has to invest dozens of times more effort to progress their characters. This has almost become an ingrained part of the company's culture. ขุดครั้งสุดท้าย เมื่อ 4 ม.ค. 2026 14:02:25

" 100% this and it's by far one of the biggest issues that PoE2 suffers from. Chris Wilson said it best in his latest video, exploiters should be banned. Permanently. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZEnAU9H41kA Not a two week ban, not a league ban, a permanent ban. If you knowingly abuse something like the abyss exploit, you should be permanently removed from Path of Exile. The same goes for RMTers. GGG holds the complete opposite stance on this for some reason, they refuse to even apply low bans to people who are very obviously abusing these exploits, like the Abyss one and all it does is tell me "exploit lots, exploit early" so I guess I'll be doing that to keep up with people. GGG sending the complete opposite of the right message by not punishing exploiters with an iron fist. แก้ไขล่าสุดโดย Sumiku#4511 เมื่อ 4 ม.ค. 2026 04:37:14

" After watching his video, completely agree with every point he made. Every single point reflects what a normal player would hope for, but the reality is that GGG has done none of them. On the contrary, everything GGG has done is the EXACT OPPOSITE of what Chris Wilson said.I'm not a veteran POE1 player,I used to play Diablo.I dont know mcuh about him,But Chris Wilson said he was "one of the original creator of POE",he no longer works there, which is truly a shame. I hate to say this, but it was precisely because such things kept happening in Diablo3and4 that I switched to POE. Now,looking back at Diablo, some of their mistakes seem almost insignificant compared to POE2.And with the recent seasonal updates and fixes to ensure fairness, Blizzard,THE BLIZZARD,when compared to GGG,seems more like a human company in 2026. | |
" Just to educate u a bit, Chris Wilson was head of GGG for over 10 years. He was responsible for how PoE developed over time and made alot of calls that were controversial, but in the end turned out to be good for the game. Not everyone will agree with that obviously. After they started developing PoE2 for a few years he retired and gave the reigns over to Jonathan in 2023 like he said in the video. Jonathan and Mark implemented alot of stuff that would have been unthinkable under CWs direction, including async trade, so not everything is bad since then... but they also made some questionable choices. They are still pretty inexperienced with that compared to Chris, so we can only hope for the better. Afaik Chris and Jonathan are neighbors and talk regularly, so I hope he'll give Jonathan food for thought and Jon is receptive of that. PoE2 0.4 Character:

" It's not about experience... Jonathan and Mark were given their tasks by corporate blood-suckers... their tasks were simple... 1) Make the game an endless grind... force the players to waste time as much as possible to keep them playing for longer... 2) Make the game unplayable unless you BUY gear and/or trade for it to funnel them to the supposedly "illegal" currency traders which GGG says they don't like but they totally do... 3) Have all the Youtubers praise the game endlessly and profess their love and how "addicted" they are to this "amazing" game to make the average low IQ player out there stick to it and waste time until he gets tired and opens his wallet... 4) Make the game visually impressive to help with keeping such low IQ players glued to it until they're forced to pay up... 5) Name the game PoE2 because PoE1 has such a huge following and con the old players into buying the new one, thinking it's a sequel even though it plays nothing like the old game and it has the exact opposite logic (no exciting loot, slow gameplay, no viable build diversity) THAT is the actual truth... and THAT is why they refuse to make PoE2 a good and high quality ARPG by making the game enjoyable for the average player and letting players enjoy SSF and enjoy playing the game without BUYING your gear and simply by PLAYING THE GAME!!! |

Space after comma or leave out the fucking comma. This hurts to read.

The kind of player I am can not be described in a post.
Let's call me one in a million. I am unique. Exploit Abuse is bad, and those who abuse exploits are bad. Don't care if its EA. Treason is Treason, and Exploit Abuse is Treason. GGG should not allow rampant exploit abuse. Regardless, I don't let that stuff ruin my gameplay experience. Adapt and Adjust, or get left behind, that is how it has always beeen.1 แก้ไขล่าสุดโดย ZaruenVoresu#5823 เมื่อ 4 ม.ค. 2026 07:52:03

i thought about it and pretty much every game sucks both on a micro and macro level. even if every single company wasn't developing games based on $ signs and appealing to the unwashed masses, the human mind functions in such a way that you either become unhealthily addicted or you become tired of virtually anything that you spend time doing (i.e. can't have the same meal too many times in a row).
when i realize how much gaming sucks on the macro level (utter waste of time in the grand scheme of life) i go outside and try to enjoy that but it sucks even more so i just go back inside and accept my situation. แก้ไขล่าสุดโดย Kotrr#0849 เมื่อ 4 ม.ค. 2026 07:53:01

" I could not disagree more. Addiction is a terrible thing, but not every one that plays video games automatically gets addicted. You can easily play a game without getting addicted. It seems that you are confusing having fun with being addicted to something. You can drink alcohol to have fun and not get addicted. It only becomes an addiction when it intereferes with other parts of your life like work or family. the claims you are making are of that of someone who is already suffering from addiction, and does not accurately describe the average casual gamer. you are describing a person that suffers an addiction, bvut not everyone that plays a video game is automatically suffering from an addiction. แก้ไขล่าสุดโดย ZaruenVoresu#5823 เมื่อ 4 ม.ค. 2026 07:58:03

" nothing you said really has anything to do with my post. not sure why you got hyper-fixated on the word addiction. that being said, society is literally all about hedonism lol. the whole thing is a massive addiction. most people spend their entire existence doing something they hate just so they can trade it for pleasure coupons. if someone can walk through a mall or really any major public district and not feel the utter darkness and dread of this NPC world then the conclusion has to be that they're just part of the system. is mcdonalds at fault or is the consumer at fault? the common denominator is just people. which also kind of proves my actual point which of course is that people are so distracted from reality and hyper-fixated on pleasure/entertainment that they still don't even really bother to ask the question "why am i even alive in this insane universe" or question their mortality even in 2026 with all the access to information and global news seeing people experiencing genocide and severe poverty, something like 60% of the working class is on medication and can't pay their bills lol. the point is that the juice isn't worth the squeeze but all you see are people constantly trying to milk every droplet out of something thats ultimately pointless, even as the cost/reward ratio becomes way too ridiculous. not just economically but look how much everything has sped up lol. the most common form of media is shorts/reels. 15 sec videos. attention span has decreased dramatically and no one really has any contentment anymore it's just a fact, even on the surface level. of course most ppl still buying into all this. not only because of addiction but also because of the other more important point i made was that human maintenance is simply a prison. people can barely afford to live but they're still spending thousands on these GPU's and MTX etc because they crave entertainment and satisfaction every moment of the day that they're not wage slaving. and basically because of all that everything is ultimately just about hedonism rather than anything pure, and so nothing can ever actually be good or enjoyable or sustainable it'll always fall short and simultaneously always be accepted cuz of the unwashed masses who are just blindly existing and that's a big part of why everything sucks. so TL;DR again, even if gaming was good, it would still be bad. and if more people saw the big picture maybe there could be a meaningful shift in the general consciousness towards a life of purpose and meaning and substance. แก้ไขล่าสุดโดย Kotrr#0849 เมื่อ 4 ม.ค. 2026 08:40:37
