An offline mode for PoE

So today i was wondering, why there isn't an offline mode for PoE, there are tons of people wanting to get in the beta (including me).
The main reason for realising the game is that it isnt finished, and the servers capacity.

Anyone knows why?

There are a few reasons:

1) It's a free to play game, so the company needs to make money from cosmetic microtransactions. The only secure way to do this is to make it online only.

2) A single player mode makes it easier for pirates to create an illegitimate private server (which again, wouldn't allow GGG to make money)

3) A single player version would make it easier for hackers to search for potential exploits

Also - making a single player version is not a task for one afternoon, them guys have enough work to do as it is.

Yah, GGG has stated "offline mode" will never happen for security/hack/cheat reasons. Chris Wilson's background is software security to boot.

Simply because this game is free to play. Free to play games rely on micro transactions from the community to prosper.

The only problem with this game is that there are not enough beta key for everyone and I'm just sick and tired of waiting and the only good thing to do is to do an offline version for people to play.

Actually, the only good thing to do is for you to purchase a key for $10 and thereby support the game.
