Quest "Deal with the Bandits" in Act 2, Bugged.

So, I was on the quest "Deal with the Bandits" In Act 2, As stated in the title

I had killed Oak and Kraityn, Kraityn was the first I killed, where I went to help him, then decided to change to kill him.

I killed these both without problem.

Then I get to Alira, but instead of getting the dialogue where I choose to either help or kill him, I do not get any dialogue AT ALL, he, and his blackguard minions, are simply normal mobs. Upon killing him he does not drop the quest item required, nor does the quest log update.

This is somewhat troublesome, has anyone else witnessed this?

PS. I have tried relogging, It has persisted for 2/3 days with me trying to kill him each day.

I see black long hair and think Barbarian.

Look for an encampment that looks like the other 2 you've seen. That should help.

I have, I've even killed the NPC "Alira" along with the Blackguards

See, that's where you're wrong. Read the name above the guy you're killing with the blackguards. Hint: It's not Alira.

On the positive side: by killing Captain Arteri, grab the Thaumetic Emblem he drops, use it on the Thaumetic Seal nearby, which completes the A1 quest "The Way Forward", so you can then travel back to Lionseye Watch and collect an extra SKILL POINT. :)

If you pay attention as you travel along the main path you can see where a less obvious route occurs that will lead straight to the witch encampment.
