Login Error "An argument was invalid"

After the latest update, I've encountered an issue logging into the game (using linked Steam account). When I press "Log In" button, the following message appears:

I've tried selecting a different realm (EU, US, etc), verifying the integrity of Path of Exile files, completely reinstalling it, restarting Steam, re-linking the Steam account through the website, and even connecting via my selfhosted VPN (NL) - none of which have helped.
When I launch the game, I only have Steam and the browser running, without any external applications that interact with PoE (such as trading helpers, screen recorder, etc).

I've been playing on and off since December 2016 and have never encountered this problem before. I have no idea how to solve it 😿 Please advise.

This issue persists since the last message... I have been testing daily with a direct ISP connection and via VPN in Paris (I've launched for it another cloud server just in case my IP has been blacklisted or something), but the same error occurs every time.
I'm assuming you're playing through Steam. Maybe packcheck.exe in the poe folder can help or repairing/reinstalling Steam // cleaning Steam cache files.

The standalone client probably won't have this issue as something to try

Thank you! You're right, I'm using Steam version of the game. Login by email works without any issues when launching a separately installed game (using the launcher directly from PoE website).

I attempted to use PackCheck.exe in Steam version game folder, but this tool doesn't work with another file structure:

The game folders looks different - I think that Steam version provides "extracted" contents of Content.ggpk file from the original game client.

It's really great that I can play by logging in via email+password! So my ISP seems fine.
But I'd like to fix the login through Steam as well 😊

Previously, I have already attempted to verify the integrity of the Steam version of the game (multiple times) and reinstall the game. Unfortunately, this did not help.

And the account connections settings appears to be normal:

This issue was eventually resolved by completely reinstalling Steam (removing all configs and local data directories, keeping only the library).
