Skill gem becomes unusable

I had leap slam skill gem assigned to my 2H mace.
i reassigned points in my passive tree, making my mace unusable by accident. i reassigned some strength and now can use the mace the leap slam gem is now broken. i cannot reassign it and cannot use it anymore. ขุดครั้งสุดท้าย เมื่อ 25 เม.ย. 2025 12:14:16

I have the same issue cause by assigning a skill gem to a weapon set and now its broken. You can not drag the skill symbol to the skill bar nor you can show the correct skill gem effect description anymore.

I had this happen when I used an uncut gem to upgrade frostbolt from 8->9 and icenova 8->9. The gems became unusable and the advanced tooltip nolonger works.
I used a new uncut to remake lvl 9 gems and they worked fine, but the old gems i upgraded are bricked. |

I've managed to brick every single skill gem I own because I deselected both weapons from the advanced tool-tip window. Now I cannot re-select the weapon or even access the advanced tip menu for those particular skill gems.
[edit] If you create a low-level version of the skill, you can use it to reselect the weapons. Then you can re-equip the high level gem and it will retain the fix. [edit] another fix. Equip a gem that works, and then socket a broken gem on top of the working gem while the advanced tip page is open. This will allow you to select the weapon group and fix the gem. Same issue here, exact case of what happened to me. After changing some gear which made my go under the required stats, my skills broke and I cannot fix them now, whatever I do.
Cant play because all my main abilities are broken :( |

Hi,
I'm having the same issue with Falling Thunder gem using the monk, but the solutions mentioned are not working anymore. I try to place a working gem on top of that with adanced page opened but it onnly changes the gem picture. Text remains the same. Can someone help me? Thanks |

" Place a broken gem on top of the working one, not the other way around. Even if the picture is broken, try to set your weapon selection anyway and see if it works. |

Same thing happened to me on the first league and now again.
