please let us precompile shaders when game start
as title... there are many games that let you compile/load shaders as you run the game.
yes it may take 3-5 minutes but you don't have to wait 30 seconds everytime, as i have to wait when mapping. i'd rather wait 5 min before playing that being stressed by this thing. this has to be fixed now https://www.twitch.tv/taitosage ขุดครั้งสุดท้าย เมื่อ 20 ก.ย. 2025 11:54:39

Yea, I play with a friend where he is always in the level a good 10 seconds before me because I have the loading screen staying up while the shaders compile, and even when it lets me start moving its laggy for a good 10 seconds more while the shaders are still going crazy in the metrics bar

+1 million.
I have no problem setting aside an extra 100-200gb for shaders. my cpu is already running at max with this game so when a secondary process like shader compiling starts while im in combat it's game over. I consistently get 8-15 fps(looks more like 1 fps) during combat in densely populated maps on a pc that is above recommended spec. |

" it's not unreal engine - UE need to pre-compile shaders due tos haders being in different language than graphic can read it doesn't work like that for poe. Missing textures - are not shaders not loading textures - are not shaders missing mob models - are not shaders |

" I'm not saying I know for certain either way. Do you have an explanation for why the shader bar on the overlay is capped at 100% when I enter a map and textures aren't finished loading on until the shady bar finally stops being maxed? แก้ไขล่าสุดโดย KaosuRyoko#1633 เมื่อ 20 ก.ย. 2025 11:47:08

" Map need to be static to pre-compile it's shaders to file. Random map cannot be pre-compiled as they are generated on the run - so the negative of the pre-compilation will be 5-15min loading times for worse PC's and even more for consoles. i guess. |

It's entirely possible I'm not clear about how they're using shaders here. But I don't think I've ever encountered shaders having anything directly to do with map layouts so I don't immediately understand your logic.
