Can stormweaver do end-game without everlasting gaze?

I have a stormweaver and I am trying to get everlasting gaze, but every day the divine orb costs more exalts than I farm per day.

Is stormweaver viable without everlasting gaze at end-game content? I looked up jewels that give 4% damage taken goes to mana and they all cost 1 divine each so that's even worse in terms of cost.

No, everlasting gaze is not at all necessary.

how do you survive in end-game without an energy shield when you have eb? besides spending 1 divine per 4% damage goes to mana gem?

You only take EB with Everlasting Gaze, otherwise just put the point somewhere else. The combo of these two mainly gives you a lot of mana, which increases damage (and some survivability when factoring in MoM), but that's about it.

Isn't it important to get ethereal battery so you get more out of force of will and pure power?

As example the shield Alkem Eira in combination with the belt Midnight Braid and the Body Armour Ghostwrithe costs cheap 2-3 exalts, reach 75% blockings and chaos-resis and synergize awesome with MoM and stormweaver ele-recoupings.
