I've not spec'd into anything that would suggest why it would go up so drastically. This only occurs when I use this staff.
The only thing I can thing that might make sense is that elemental expression has 3 spells that proc but, that wouldn't explain unbound avatar.
Has anyone else tried this?

That seems like a bug. A very neat bug.
I thought I was going mad, my mana was draining like crazy. Be interesting to see what it can do once you can mana sustain haha

Most of the skills seems to work on a tag system. Elemental Expression has both the fire, lightning, and cold tag, so it has three elemental tags. The unique staff increases elemental tags by 4, so all in all, its 12. ;D
You can do similar by slotting in the fire, lightning, and cold mastery gems into Elemental Expression and its level will go up by 3 across the board, once for each.
Now I'm wondering how much mana reduction you can grab and go annihilate things with 100% crit chance and expression, lol.

Oh right, yeah I didn't even clock those tags for unbound avatar as well, cheers. I've been messing around with it but you need a LOT of mana in some form, it just chucks it I'm definitely curious to see how it performs with the right gear
