Lvl 20 uncut skill gem didn't increase level

I bought a lvl 20 uncut skill gem, used it to level up my lightning warp skill to 20, and it's still at level 19. 1 div down the drain.
Double checked every skill gem i have, equipped or unequipped, so its not like i clicked the wrong skill. Can someone help me with this? Literally just had this exact same thing happen to me. First lvl 20 skill gem I found and it upgraded the wrong one lol. I guess I have an extra perfect jeweller's orb at least and I can sell this lvl 19 one with 5 sockets I suppose.

" [POE2] I found this issue too, I will use lv.20 uncut skill gem to increase Lightning Condult skill to lv.20 then I lost this gem and didn't increase my that skill and my game was crashing. T T Ps. I have had this issue several times. I just got my first 20 skill gem and used it on spark. Spark is still level 19. Since I have had this issue before, I am positive I clicked on spark and nothing else. I also reviewed all my other spells and they are also level 19. My intel is 321 on character.

was my mistake, i must have misclicked on another skill. just upgraded corrupted gem with no issues!
