Two players MODE PS5

Hi can someone explain to me how you can play 2 player mode on PS5 use two different account? My wife wants play with me 2two player mode but I can't use second account just the same ... is bit shame brcouse i want separate that two characters for further when we can play separately on two different playstation 5 and make that game for use more fun, but in that case I don't want even start like this game two player mode.

Any suggestions will be appreciated in here thank you.

Just started playing with my wife and was disappointed to see she couldn't use her account either. Hopefully this is a small issue that is able to get fixed soon. Bought both of us an account to get ready to play and as it stands now its pointless to have more then 1 account.

Keep looking hoping to see an update but no luck so far. Maybe the next patch/update will have the fix.

I played PS5 couch co-op a lot in the first league but this league I wanted to try something different.

For what it's worth I can now play on both PS5 and Xbox. It's really handy because Xbox gets Gamepass (or Ubisoft+) and I juggle subscriptions from PS Plus and Gamepass but lately Gamepass has been my preference.
POE2 is cross platform optional so I can be in a guild with myself and a used Xbox X is a little cheaper than PS5 too I think.
