POE2 Ball Lightning Shotgun Question

Hello poe friends!

I got a question in regards to projectile shotgun mechanics. If I shoot three ball lightning projectiles per cast the actual 'balls' only damage once afaik, however, what about their respective lightning beams? Will all three ball's lightning beams be able to damage the same target?
