Ambush support not applying crit chance bonus

The ambush support gem does not seem to be applying its crit chance bonus either properly or at all.

I have tested this by creating a build with 50% crit chance and applying the ambush support to a skill. The skill still does not always crit against full life enemies. As the skill is described, 100% more crit chance to 50% base should be 100%, making non crits impossible.

How often? This can happen if the target successfully evaded your crit. Evasion is checked twice against crits, if only one check fails, the crit becomes a non-crit hit.

In the testing i did, it was still happening with enemies and distances that I had 100% accuracy against.

I'm glad I'm not the only one realizing this issue. This bug has been ruining my build and I can't crit consistently despite all the stats shows I should. My flicker strike literally hit at 0 distance and no way it miss.
