Thorn not working even with Crown of the pale king on specific monster

Hi, I'm playing thorn with the unique helmet that allow thorn to retaliate against all hits.

I was in the Black Chambers in act 3 and I noticed that the Archer Transcendent monster was not getting hit by my thorn when hitting me.

I too am having this problem, bug report reference number 2,268,771,833.

I have Crown of the Pale King equipped and the monster in not using a DOT effect, it is without a doubt a hit that should trigger my "thorns can retaliate against all hits". This is a much bigger problem in this season because of the more monster variety. I have encountered these mobs in many maps now and some have even been rare mobs that take forever to kill with my other abilities.

This isn't the only problem mob but it is the most annoying. River hags, Undertakers and some select few mobs don't have hits even at close range to bait a swing from them, but this one does hit and its not working.

My build is centralized on thorns, all my damage is sourced from it. Quickly my build is suffering due to thorns not working on many mapping mobs. I love thorns builds and I'm even willing to sacrifice the headgear to make thorns what it should have been by default. But it needs to work
