"Increased Gold Found" Modifier Replaces Item Drops

Is it intended for "Increased Gold Found" to be a bad mod? Currently on maps and tablets it seems to replace dropped items with gold, instead of just giving additional gold.

Bro there is two sentences in the body of the post, just read it. No I am not.

That is an issue as well though, why do Greed and Corruption shrines exist? Are they meant to be bad, dilute the pool of shrines, so shrines are less good on purpose? Or is it unintentional? I ask that here;

Bump. Please revisit this, it truly feels terrible for a positive modifier on a map to have a negative outcome like deleting items and currency in favor of gold. Gold should be an additional drop that is not affecting the monster's actual drops.
