[RESOLVED] Stuck on Cataclysm’s Wake – How I Finally Progressed

Hey Exiles, I hope my reply can me useful to you.

Quick heads‑up in case you get your Atlas progression stuck like I did:


What happened
• I died in the main Corruption map (the one that normally triggers Doryani’s dialogue and gives you Atlas points).
• After that, I ran TONS of maps across like 10+ towers, but no new Corruption ever spawned - I was already shittin my pants in anger. My atlas stayed at 20/40 for 2 days or so.
• Doryani still appeared fine in camp and in my hideout, so he wasn’t bugged.

HOW I FIXED IT:

• Important: When you complete the map without dying, it marks as “complete” but doesn’t actually purify the region—so no cleansed maps show up around it.
• When you die in that main map, it completely removes the only active Corruption. To get a fresh one, you must go back and purify every surrounding red‑vein map in that area.
• Once I cleared all those nearby corrupted maps, a brand‑new Corruption map popped up at the next tower, I finished it, heard Doryani’s dialogue, and finally unlocked my missing Atlas points.


Takeaway

If you ever die in the main Corruption map, JUMP BACK TO THAT REGION and CLEAR EVERY adjacent red‑vein map (corrupted). That’s the only way a new main Corruption will spawn so you can finish it and grab your Atlas points.

See my problem is different. Died to the corrupted boss in the first Corrupted Nexus map. It completed the zone but the corrupted boss was gone, the region is cleansed....no corruption in the first zone.

I saw another region close by that was corrupted went there, did the corrupted nexus map, no corrupted boss spawned this time. Region is cleansed again. What a stupid ass mechanic.

God, I want to like this game but damn they make is so hard. I honestly cant decide if I care enough to keep playing this game at this point.
