Random freeze making fog of war reset

Hey,

every since playing DOTH ( was not happening before ) i got these random freezes.

Freeze for around 5-10 seconds, after that screen blinks black and gets me back to the game, but it resets Fog of War on map and everything is hidden again.

Not game breaking, just annoying to backtrack where u already were.

Cant figure anything connecting those crashes, it happens in any area, does not matter if its camp, map or an arena mid bossfight, everything just pauses and then lets me continue afterwards.

Edit: This was not happening on previous versions
MY PC:
laptop ROG STRIX G18, Intel Core I9-14900HX, Nvidia geforce RTX 4070

Edit 04/20: just happened in Keth and only half a map disappeared

i came here looking for an answer to the exact same problem. It happens to me as well, its not game breaking but it is extremely annoying. The fog of war reset on the map is probably the worst.

Me too, bump.

I have the same problem. While I had an Intel processor the game crashed, but when I switched to a more modern model AMD Ryzen the game every 20-30 minutes shows a black screen and resets the map.
It's especially infuriating when playing in a group. The game is not paused during this lag, I just die and lose experience.

Got the EXACT same issue, it is also driving me crazy.
If someone finds a solution to this please save us from this curse.

Edit : This WAS NOT happening before 0.2 patch.

Bumping because this is also affecting me. I get these freezes about twice per map and even occasionally in other players' hideouts.

+1! I've died far too many times to this issue.

This is still happening and it's grinding on my nerves pretty hard.

June edit: switching to Vulkan instead of DX12 fixed it
