essence mob unclickable after Vaal orb

In the secret cave unique map, I corrupted two of the three essences (3rd essence was a boss essence, which worked fine). Each time, one and only one monster out of the entire essence group animated after vaaling and then activating the essence. The one monster dropped nothing upon being killed. The rest of the essence monster group remained inanimate, and now can no longer be clicked. They are just sitting there like statues. Can’t click them or interact with the remaining essence mob. The map objective states “14 monsters remaining” on the map, which must be killed to complete the map. The 14 monsters referenced are the 14 essence monsters that are now stuck in the inanimate state. So I can’t even complete the map.
