Blink in weapon swap often not working

Like many other people, I'm currently using blink in my weapon swap setup. However, very often it just doesn't work. I will have the blink buff (upper left corner) and see it enabled in my Skill menu and nothing happens when I press space bar (dodge roll hotkey). It doesn't even perform a dodge roll. Nothing. When I swap back and I can dodge roll again.
