Loot filter hiding items even when disabled

I was starting a new char, went to beat the devourer and pressed the Alt key when i saw that it only dropped the skill gem.
2 exalted orbs where hidden !
I immediately went to the loot filter option an set it to "none", and saved the configuration.
But the exalted orbs didn't show until i pressed the Alt key !

Are we all getting scammed by loot filter ?

Press Z, your loot is hidden. Skill gem from this boss should be *green* and shown because its count as *quest item*.

i have bigger problem since today the loot desappear in front of my eyes...
it pops up and 2 sec later is gone...with filter active and with filter disabled. i have the option: "hide filtered loot" not active...when i press directly the moment when the loot drops i can get it but 2 sec later is gone...all loot..and exotics are in the ground but you cant grab them...looks like they are under the map...

That literally what this button do. Toggle highlighting in Input settings, Z by default.
Hide Filtered Ground Items should hide physical models, its only for perfomance, and text label still visible while you pressing Alt. It not releated to your problem, you just hide ur loot accidentally or not (its may happend also while game crashing)

My bad, i must have pressed the key at some point.

LOL i found the solution...it has nothing to do with: "hide loot" option...YOU CAN IN THIS GAME disable inscriptions... is on console XSX: "LT+ directional pad left"....i havent even known such option exist and i think i have activated it by mistake, by smashing the buttons when in fight.

Why in the world is this stupid option even here....who plays looter game with disabled visibility for loot?
And why it this bullshit even standard on the quick access bar?
