Can`t gain ascedancy points

I skipped Trial of Sekhema at level 22 and completed Trial of Chaos as my first trial at level 40, earning only two Ascendancy points. I then wanted to do Trial of Sekhema because it said on the map that I would receive points, but after completing it, I can't claim the reward or even leave the room. I reset the game and tried again, but the same issue occurred. Can anyone help or explain what's going on?
