Controller expedition explosive placement

When dropping explosives in expedition on controller, you have to place them where you stand, but one area I came across I could not do that because it was close to the tent and would not drop in place instead it pinged off to the other side of the tent

There was nowhere I could stand to get it to drop where I wanted

It wasn't red, just went to a different place

I put it down in that place and every explosive I placed after was off centre by some degree, basically bricked it

This was on lofty summit if that helps

I did not realise that right stick moves the explosive manually lol, maybe don't walk the circle with char to make this clearer?

I also didn't realise that "undo placement" actually removes previous explosives placed if you keep clicking it as the green circles remain even if the explosive has been picked up. This makes for a very confusing state as your have no idea where anything is
