Manifest Weapon?

Am I missing something or is this ability straight up just not working as intended or something?

I really hope it has some synergy with content-to-be-added or something because in its current form and using the tools we have available, I really don't see what we're supposed to do with this thing to make it not absolutely useless.

The only upside I've seen from having it is that it can sort of apply debuffs/armor break for you, and you get to benefit from the shared companion damage keystone, but other than that, pretty underwhelming to say the least.
