Urgent Attention Required: Persistent Respeccing Bug Causing Character Corruption

Dear Grinding Gear Games,

This post serves to reiterate a critical bug that significantly impacts character progression and player experience within Path of Exile. As previously reported on multiple occasions by myself and other community members, a persistent issue arises during the character respeccing process when skill gems remain equipped.

Specifically, upon respeccing, the affected skill gem slots lose all associated information and tooltip functionality. Furthermore, these slots often display incorrect skill information, either showing no skill or retaining data from the previously socketed gem instead of the currently equipped one.

The ability to respecialize characters is a fundamental and highly valued mechanic in Path of Exile. Unfortunately, this bug has led to the irreversible corruption and subsequent loss of four of my characters. The prospect of replaying the campaign for a fourth time to reach endgame content is not a viable or enjoyable solution.

Given the severity of this issue and its direct impact on character progression, I urge the development team to prioritize a comprehensive fix. Until a resolution is implemented and communicated, I will be taking a hiatus from actively playing Path of Exile.
