How to solve oneshot mechanics and players "semi-immortality"

Block should be reducing incoming damage not completely nullifying it. You have Guard mechanic in the game. And evasion should be corresponding with recoup. Something similar of bloodbournes rally mechanic. In poe mechanics evaded attacks are recouped. Both block and evasion could get critical chance and critical escalation with a key node to improve their numbers. +1 I don't think everyone should get max resistance everywhere.
