Can I move around the minimap like in Diablo 2?

I feel like the current minimap isn't quite where I want it, size or placement. I remember being able to move it around in Diablo 2.

But poe2 is much better than Diablo 2 right?! We can make it happen right?!

You can control both the zoom and the offset (position) for the overlap map, so in effect you have a lot of flexibility where the map is on your screen. You can also change the zoom on the default minimap in the upper right.

Keyboard controls:

TAB : Open/Close overlay map or Re-center overlay map

Arrow Keys : Adjust offset position of overlay map, even off to another corner of the screen.

Numpad +/- : Change zoom of both minimap and overlay map


You also have options for its appearance, transparency, and zoom in the Options - Interface tab.

One thing you can't do is prevent POE from turning off the overlay map every time you log into a character. This also loses its position. I wish we could default this to the overlay map. In a perfect world, we might be able to have the transparency setting auto-adjust to suit the light level of the current map/area.
