0.2.0g has really opened the game for everybody
Before 0.2.0g, even though I spent a lot of time on the game, playing a Warbringer and Titan to level ~93, I had almost no experience of the endgame challenges.
I saw streamers face Xesht, Arbiter etc. I kept hearing about King of the Mists, but never saw these myself. "Simulacrum" etc all seemed out of reach. I've gained more experience with the game but it isn't the real reason. Breaches used to close very quickly on my Warrior, and frankly I couldn't be bothered picking up all the splinters. Now just recently: - I finally was able to meet Xesht. - first Simulacrum - first Skill Gem Level 20 (during Simulacrum) - my first two points in Ritual tree thanks to being able to buy Audience with the King. - I have yet to meet Olroth but I have a handful of level 80 Logbooks to try. I'm even using some Omens now for crafting waystones prefixes, +surviving on low life etc. I have my first Omen of Whittling since the start of EA!! I think 0.2.0g was absolutely needed to open the game to everybody. I don't think I can chalk this down just to experience with the game. I think there were mechanics that either seemed out of reach (never saw Audience with the King for example), and others that felt like a real hassle (Breaches closing too quickly, tedious picking up all the shards...). And now the announced 0.2.1 sounds amazing. The lack of variety of endgame maps is what has been itching me the most. Further balancing of the map modifiers like Elemental Pen. and smoothing the damage of Volatiles is going to make the game even better. Yes this is the right direction. With crafting, and plenty of drops for crafting materials, this will be the perfect game.

I agree the endgame game got better and more accessible. I finished the ritual tree for the first time (with audiences that i farmed myself), got some points in expedition and beat my first simulacrum. Xesht i struggle to reach due to the timer. My current build is tanky but not very fast. Hope this gets looked into. The timer makes no sense if the goal is to push for slower gameplay in this game.
Only arbiter of ash is completely out of reach because there simply arn't any new citadels spawning in my atlas. I hope this will be fixed in 0.2.1. แก้ไขล่าสุดโดย Flowneppets#0528 เมื่อ 22 พ.ค. 2025 16:06:04
