Arbiter of Ash Doubt

During the fight (second phase), there is moments where i do not have any regen suddenly, even withou getting hit.

2 questions:
a) I thought it has to be the purple sword, but dont know for sure how to avoid this happening and

b) when happening, what to do (only wait the effect go away?).
