Why not just have a leaderboard for the race?

As much as I might enjoy it, I don't schedule my life around POE2.

I would take part in the race event, but I have other things going on...

Why would you not just have a leaderboard for the event and one can initiate it whenever?

I understand you are trying to engender community and all; but again, I would have just started the race if it didn't have the same start for everyone.

This isn't live TV.
