Stuck in expedition boss room

If you somehow manage to kill the boss before he phases, you're stuck inside the room. This has happened to me twice now, and there's no way to get out other than to wait your time with the game closed.

Playing in a private league with 3 friends, so the only other option is to wait for a friend to party up and teleport to them.
