Intermittent lagspikes on instance change
I'm a returning player who hasn't played much since the release of patch 0.2 (I played the game again yesterday for the first time since weeks), so I can't attribute the problems to any specific patch number. I began experiencing some lag-spike issues yesterday and have tried several popular solutions since then, to no avail:
- Changing trade and global channels - Clearing the chat - Clearing the shader cache - Deleting client logs - Changing servers (I'm playing on EU servers, but I tried others as well) The problem I experienced occurred ocasionally (multiple times though) when I entered a new location (I'm leveling a new character). The game would become very unstable. Moving or using skills would cause massive spikes on the network graph (over 1000ms). I was able to return everything to normal by resetting the instance (creating a new one), although this isn't something a player can do during mapping. Please let me know if I can provide any other information to help pinpoint the issue. UPDATE:
The problem persists. I recorded a short video that shows the problem. Important timestamps: 1:00 - Fight with Mighty Silverfist, and massive lag 1:56 - Death and instance restart - no more latency issues https://youtu.be/rYI6LG6bZlc P.S.: The quality is tragic because I recorded with HDR on and default OBS settings :x |

UPDATE:
A new solution approach on the forum, running the game as administrator, was suggested, but it didn't help with my specific issue. I played with a friend today who experienced no problems on an instance that caused a total game freeze for me. I wasn't disconnected, but the game froze during one attack animation and unfroze about a minute later. After the game unfroze, everything that had happened on the server played out at a very accelerated speed. แก้ไขล่าสุดโดย FiberianHufky#9041 เมื่อ 9 มิ.ย. 2025 11:35:47

UPDATE:
While researching and troubleshooting, I came across a video from December (recorded on a US server) that clearly demonstrated the issue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7GZQuAQfsuA I spent over 200h in the pre 0.2 game and never expierienced such an issue. This is clearly something progressing. Could we get an official acknowledgment of this issue? |
