BTW, For the Record, that very item / mod exists in POE1 as well. But, i can't recall atm, if the actual item is just better in general , or not, But i do know, i would never use either.

These guys and their concept of everything good needs something even worse, is just old.

OP, I haven't played with it, but it's not as stupid as it looks. If I were to run a character, I'd wear Original Sin to convert 100% of elemental damage to chaos damage, overcap my chaos resistance, and look for gear with big pluses that also give negative elemental resistance, because those negatives are ignored.

EDIT: Original Sin does damage conversion toward the monster. You want items like Apep's Supremacy that change how you take damage. Sorry about that, but the basic idea is the same.

Obviously for lifestackers. Bloodmage and crit comes to mind.

If this item ignores ele penetration from bosses and ele reduction curses, could be part of the viable build, although extremely niche and lacking stat sticks.
